At the stage

There are a group of photographers right at the top last row , toward Oriental Hotel

In this photo, my original copy shows a couple showing a peace-sign to me..at 4th steps

Wah.. very similar angle as mine.. standing right at the back behind the yellow sector.. Don't tell me you were beside me.. ;p

Think you were one of them...

Thank you bro for the info. I think FW must be viewed from where it is designed to be viewed....those in your pics has layer of low, mid and high FW....from Westin, I see them from left to right, and not so nice from the stage perspective....

#1 is my first shot and you can see the smoke is not that bad... whereas for #2 & #3 , you can see that the smoke thicken and cover the view of those high financial buildings.
Smoke was flowing towards Westin side... and at 31st. storey; you probably was greeted very badly bythe smoke. I was kind of lucky as I was sitting more toward the left (green sector) of the stage.

I will post more shots when free.. u probably can see some smoky FW.

I was greeted badly with smoke on last Friday at the Esp. Bridge... and the side-View of the FW was not good. In the past, the FW is facing us if we stand at the Esp. Bridge.

More Fireworks to share

I really like this pattern.. first time see this pattern..
It resembles the Chinese Feather Fan. The Chinese are creative!!

Knowing this can overexpo fast, I couldn't wait for other pattern of FW to add into this ...

At one pt, I stop shooting and wait for the Smoke to clear.. it is a Smoke FW .

Another star-ducts FW... the colors is very light to capture..

Oops, just remember this was my first shot ( before #1 posted earlier)..
Sky fully clear..but the pattern is too common

Oooh.. I'm under the lighted tentage area on the left side of your picture...

Just to check... how many secs did you expose your pics for. Cos my fireworks brightness are similar to yours but the Fullerton side was really dark... has it got to do with the evaluative, partial or spot setting??

Oh.. could it be the smoke ?
As I was using Black-card ,most of my photos range from12-40+sec.
Fullerton is also bright for those photos took with only 3-4sec.
Dont think evaluative,spot setting has an impact too..but maybe I'm wrong.
