Took a short timelapse of the CBD from Dusk to Night. There is some camera movement towards the end of the sequence because some people came in front of the camera.

Shot on 7D,approx 750shots at 5 sec interval. AV Mode

appreciate your feedback..

Maybank looked like it had trouble starting up the lights on its facade! Perhaps you could have considering shifting the frame slightly downwards to capture the activity at Merlion Park? A little too much sky, though the clouds were great.

Overall a really nice video, thanks for sharing!! :D

Problem is at the roof, at certain position, you'll be blocked by the Esplanade structure itself, because the building has no straight lines.

Nonetheless, you got the time rate just right, 5 seconds interval. Able to catch the movement of the clouds too.

Overall ...

Cheers!

thanks everyone..

@ENDorphins - Yes, i also felt i missed out the activity at the Merlion park..but i noticed it only after it became darker..was too late by then ..anyway since the clouds had some interesting activity..was ok :)

y did u shoot at 5s interval instead of using video mode? and how did u ensure its always 5s, is there a way to program the camera or did u count to five and press shutter? overall nice

Thanks..If shot a 1080p video continuously for 1hr+ (which is the time i took for the sequence),i'll need a truckload of Memory Cards, not to mention the nightmare of postprocessing.. I used a timer remote for the shoot.. u can set the interval/no of shots etc etc.so just start the timer and leave it to itself :)

The movement of the clouds is COOL!!

whats the model number of the remote?

Awesome! The part when the lights comes out brings everything out in the night life! Well Done.. I love it..

thx but wow dam ex :x i wonder if the time gap btw photos are different will matter? eg 10s 15s 5s 11s

Well, the original canon timer remote is around $200++ i think,so compared to that its a steal for the same functionality :)

Yes,timing will affect the final image..esp since there are clouds..based on the cloud speed, the movement may appear jerky if the interval is too high..
