Locations.

Ok now we have nearly 20 people. My original planning is to vivo but its too crowded and i'am afraid the security might chase us with our umbrella.

I think sentosa is also good because there is so many places to shoot at and also there's shelters, food and transportation is easily accessible

Mr phoakm suggested the meeting would be at a big drain somewhere in choa chu kang.
I've seen his photos and its a very good place too. Not sure about the accessibility of transportation. Please share more about the location Mr Phoakm

That location is my training ground lah. :bsmilie:
If you guys not afraid of the drainage smell, slippery ground and mud, then shooting there should be no problem. You can even catch some guppies if you want. It is easily accessible by transportation.

I don't mind paying a bit for model too. Location-wise, anywhere with not much people is also okay but more concern about accessibility. Are there any agenda because 20 pax seems huge. Perhaps cluster into 5 per group? Most of my strobe experience is only 1 light + 1 reflector and only for small subject so anyone interested in pet pix, I can also help.

Er, pardon my saying so but should we impose a limit for the first meeting? I'm worried that if too many ppl attend then we'll be more busy with "crowd control" and ushering instead of focusing on strobing.

My thinking was choose a quiet venue that's dark or dim lighting (easier to get better effects with strobes and flashes) and away from the general public so we're less likely to be disturbed. I was gonna suggest the old camp north of Jalan Kayu (forgot the name), but that is extremely far for those who are not driving.

As for getting a model, if there are no volunteers then we can simply bring a plain white ceramic vase or bowl and an earthenware pot. The curved surfaces will be easier to light up and we'll be able to have a subject for coloured strobes and flashes (white vase) and basic strobing (earthenware pot).
