Sim Lim shops trustworthy?

Hi Guys,

want to check with your guys wether you had any experience to buy a canon lens in Edison Electronic in Sim Lim Square because today i go there to check the lens price for Tamron 17-50mm f2.8 for Canon the price around 520 come with the hood and filter, but the thing is i check in other store like cathay, john, most of them are offered about 625, so i wonder is there anything i should consider before i go to edison to buy the lens? are the shop trusted?
any comment would be thankful....

Always without GST. Frankly, that shop sucks, though does not suck as bad as some of the other Sim Lim devilshops. 520 x 1.07. Also, check for warranties etc.

I will stay well clear of Edison Electronics. Last time I was there to buy a XD card as most places dont sell it anymore, I was quoted a ridiculous price & bad service from an ah beng salesman.
I recommend only going to Alan Photo & Orient Photo in SLS. At least the AP in SLS, their service is so much better than the one in Funan.
Some may disagree, but I also find Song Brothers to be quite ok. Had good experience dealing with them esp with digital P&S cameras & pretty good service.
