eh.. what's considered a good lobang? 15 buck-a-roos? :D

lobang? they dont differ much in price since sold in small quantity only.....radio-control shops have a lot quality ones. be careful, dont wrongly buy lithium grease.

maybe you can try some dives shop. I've seen it in Waikiki Dives. Maybe you can call and ask them.

Cheers!

k i checked olympus selling around $12/bottle

i was hoping in getting something like a bigger tube maybe 500g or so..
if not choice then get that tiny little bottle lor..

thanks for the replies

hope this doesn't offend you, but why do you need such a huge amount of grease for? Didn't your underwater housing come with a tube of silicone grease already?

you only need very very little grease for the o-ring in your housing (you should be able to feel it coating the o-ring, but not so much that you can see the layer of grease on the o-ring). Using too much could actually cause the housing to flood, so be careful and don't put too much. anyway, if you really run out, you can get a jar from most dive shops. should be about $10-12 if i remember correctly.

Silicone grease is a diver's best friend. A big tube is always handy as they last virtually forever.

In addition to camera housings, they can be used for many other things. Flashlight o-rings and smearing your knife with grease (great way to keep it looking new and rust free) are 2 other uses that come to mind. Silicone is also available as a spray, I use that on my regulator hoses and my BCD. It keeps the rubber flexible and prevent fraying. It gives a nice shine to the BCD too. Much like Armor All does for your car tyres... in fact I use Armor All when my regular spray runs out. It works beautifully.

And of course having a big tub of grease means you can share with fellow divers.

no no not at all :bsmilie:

the tube looks really small to me and i think it won't last very long.

the regulator service guy did mention about using silicon gel for greasing the reg parts, but i do not know they can be used to condition the BCD.. cool thanks! :P

Shopping weekend!
