Sigma lens at IT show 2009

Any idea how much is their 50mm F1.4 EX DG HSM?

If I remember correctly, it was $859 before GST at the stand. Have asked other shops and they were cheaper.

I did not find their price as competitive as individual shops. As another member has mentioned, they are there to prey on unsuspecting consumers. On the brochure, they put the price of the above lens at $1165 and slash it but don't state the discounted price.

Sellers at the booth also don't have time and adequate knowledge on all lens there because they have so many people to serve. You have to also squeeze with all those people it's not funny.

tried out the 180mm macro lens at Sigma, pretty tempted.
Anyone knows is the physical sounds produce by sigma is quieter than tamron or vice versa? as the IT Show is too noisy to test it out.

i had use 150mm before very fast & quiet tks to the HSM,after visiting the IT show i can say
sigma lens is really a high class lens maker among all 3rd party maker.like the new 70-200mm HSM ll i don't see anything less then the N&C maker.

If you're referring to the 24-70mm F2.8 IF EX DG HSM, I got it @$1445 after some bargaining.
