just send my len for calibration..
the technician tell me he basically writes into the lens the infomations he obtained from taking pic...
and is FOC

Just calibrated my 24-70 f2.8. :) works like a charm on my A700 now....

Note: for those driving....do note that carpark charges $1.50 per hour or part thereof...

Does Tamron provide calibration service as well ? Address ?

Yes they do. But heard now it's no longer under Tithes Marketing but bought by Jebsen & Jessen (i think) and not sure abt the new location.

i'm considering to get the Sigma 50-150mm. has any1 faced any issues and need to bring in the lens for calibration?

I went to calibrate my 50/1.4 today. Really great service, both front counter and tech guy are friendly and helpful!

ya.sigma service is pretty good.
my experience was the tech will take some pics using the focusin chart and show u the before/after results.

my 1st visit there, didn't make appointment n went earlier than their opening time.
the auntie recep was kind enough to allow me in and even take in my lens on behalf of the technican.

pretty good if u ask me

For everyones sake, pls try to confirm the focusing before going for a calibration. Yes, its free, but if everybody does it when there is no issue, its just going to take up the response time. End of the day, all of us will suffer extended turn around times. Even worse, past warranty lenses may be charged.

My lens is kinda rough, do I need to calibrate it? And how much would it cost. Is it possible to change the rubber

Just a quick question.. can I tell if the lens needs calibration? The focus point is on the 2nd "6" @ f4.
