Those images are amazing! Definitely comparable or even better than certain entry level DSLRs. I'm looking to get either this or the G1. Any problems with the DP2 besides it's slow speed? And how much did guys get it for? Thanks.

The shops are selling at $1150.

The AF speed is faster with the latest firmware upgrade v1.02.

A 2-piece genuine leather case (with strap) for my DP2. :)

Anyone here a concurrent owner of the Sigma DP2 and Ricoh GXR? I would like to get some opinions.

Yeah the new firmware update sounds good!

I wonder whether this will place DP2's AF on par with the new DP2s which reportedly has faster AF.

I'm waiting on the DP2s to pull the trigger, the AF speed will be a big determinant for me!

bro, can show some photo shots of life object like human face to see the skin tone can?

Universal Studio Singapore...using the DP2 ;)

Does anyone know where to get the battery for the DP2? Thanks. :)

Wow! Impressed with the DP2 with the shots there.

I've been searching high and low for a review or even preview of the DP2s, here's the best I've come across so far. User experience at CP+ in Japan, wait till somewhere past the halfway mark to check out the hands on DP2s experience...

So far looks like the AF in the DP2s is much faster than what I've tried on the DP2, hopefully this is also addressed in the firmware update too.

Sorry to dig up this thread (after a tough search)

I have just acquired a DP-2s from a fellow CSer. But there seems to be no active thread for DP-2s user, so i thought maybe there are fellow DP-2ser around that could advise me on this new toy?

The camera is going great, but humans are curious mammals and I'm not an exception.
I have read up on the optional accessories for DP-2s, it's really making me feel itchy for a EVF and lens hood + close up adapter (which i really wanted for my macro shots).

Finally may i know, if there are any reputable shops around selling a range of DP-2 accessories? If so, can anyone list down the location?
I would really want to purchase stuffs on the spot rather then off hand internet purchases, unless I am left with no choice but to do so.

I found a few links of add-ons that would really make any DP-2ser smile anytime.

Fellow DP2 users, please shed some light! (dun hide liao!)

Thanks in advance!

You can try Parisilk Holland Village. I bought my DP1 & DP2 from them. They stock some DP accessories and if they don't have them ex-stock, they can order immediately from the local agent and you would usually be able to get them within 1 day. I don't think there is an EVF for the DP series though. Only the OVF.

Not even the VF from sigma itself ah? In that case I am considering the VFs from Voigtlander then.

Yea saw in some previous posts that Parasilk is somehow willing to bring in Sigma DPx series, hope i can dig up some gold there!

Btw tomcat, just curious, have you got any add-ons for your dp-2?

The only original viewfinder available is the Optical View Finder (OVF) from Sigma (VF-21). There is no Electronic View Finder (EVF) for the DP series. You can also get the Voigtlander view finders if you want to. They look better built than the Sigma one which is not cheap in any case.

Parisilk do not bring in Sigma DP products. They just get them from the local agent Sigma Marketing (Singapore) Pte Ltd if they are available ex-stock.

I have the flash (EF-140) and close-up lens (AML-1). You would need the hood adapter (HA-21) to attach either the close-up lens or any filters to the camera. You should also get an extra battery.

Alternatively, you can order third party accessories for the Sigma DP1/2 from Lensmate here:
http://www.lensmateonline.com/store/sigmaDP1.html

Their adapter allows the use of the more easily available 52mm filters compared to 46mm for the original Sigma hood adapter. They also sell a custom grip (which I also bought from them) machined from a solid block of aluminum which makes for better handling of the camera.
