think the sigma 10-22 price should be S$800 +/- ...no more!

Lucky never become carrot.. anyways.. thanks for the advise. Will check with John 3:16.
Is there a code word I must tell the guy in John for good price? cause everytime I go.. he say the price in CS is not accurate and is always quoted a higher price by him.

also try OP if you dont mind grey set, but they have their own warranty system, so no worries. you can even email them for a quote too, v nice service offered by them usually to most people here. got to shop around mate...v sad but true that pricing is so variable in good sg shops.

CS prices is as 'accurate' only if members update the prices, AFAIK, some prices are still the 5% GST rate and some others their prices has either fallen or risen compared to the price list.

and there is no 'code word' / 'cheat code' to get a discount...

No offence, but your price is quite off. The list price around the market for a warrantied set is $890 nett.

I will be the first to admit that their prices are not always the lowest, but the difference is marginal, usually $5-15, which is perfectly normal.

It is their service that puts them a notch above the rest. You definitely will get a good price there, because they are of a certain standard, and will not kotok you. They work on a regular customer basis, that is to say if you come back again and again, they will consistently give good pricing to you. Take a look at the people who come in year after year for five years. They constantly get the best pricing there.

Some other shops (which I will not mention) work on a hit-and-run basis. Hit you hard and fast one time and hope never to see your face again (which they probably won't when you realise you've been cheated). The usual tricks include quoting without GST in the price, or quoting a very cheap price, when not actually having the item in stock.
