I think there is a Nikon mount. I asked about the Canon mount last week and was quoted $760. I'm a newbie to DSLR too :)

Yes it can.
There is only 2 models and 1 is for FF the other is for crop. What do you think?
SGD$760(plus minus $20 depending on shops)

I think there is only 1 model for the 30mm in f-mount with glass designed for dx. For fx nikon 35/f2 is a better option.

I just purchased this great lens. No focus issue I think. Mounted on my 600D these 2 days and it's really good. Was using the 50mm f1.8 and find it tight sometimes. The 30mm is just nice. Will continue to practice and shoot :)

Found a great deal on this leans yesterday and couldn't say no so i went ahead to get myself a set…so far it looks great and feels great..have not really taken it out for a test run yet…will do so tomorrow and see how good it really is.

Oops my mistake. I confused this with the 50mm. Lol.

Brought this lens out to Sentosa for a day and although i brought 2 other lenses with me, all ic an say is i didn't even use the rest…this lens is simply wonderful…
It is really sharp and 30mm on a crop camera is just nice for almost anything..just need to walk a lot hehe..

Here's a sample shot:

Did you notice any focusing issue?

I just got the lens ytd!! Will bring it out this weekend for some review.

Anyway, I did some test shots, no focusing issue. I think the f-stop of 1.4 will tend to "cause" the "focusing issue" as your AF point, if slightly misaligned, may result in so call "focusing issue". If you have any, perhaps can adjust the f-stop to something greater and see if u still face the same issue?

As with all Sigma lenses, you have to test it at the shop with your camera body…
Not all work on all bodies unfortunately…so better dun buy online but go to shop with your camera body to test.
I have 2x60Ds and with one, it works great..with the other, it's not as good….

I think you meant the focusing issue? It could be easily fixed with calibration.

Well, calibration will adjust the lens…so its not going to make the sigma work on both my bodies at the same time…:)
If they fix the not so good one, then the good one will end up being the not so good one.
I'm happy with it working well on at least one of my 2 bodies…i wont use it on both at the same time anyways..
But ultimately, this is indeed at superb prime…it got me "addicted" to using primes! Oh and i got it for $492 brand new…so no complains there...

how long will DDE honour the warranty? 1 year too? i'm thinking of getting at artworkphoto but they too have shop warranty only. but i guess if i were to go this route, i'd rather buy from DDE 'cause otherwise, i might as well buy from reputable shops.

May i know where is DDE? and where to locate them?

You can google dd electronics and choose Singapore on their main webpage. The address and map will be shown there.

So far so gd. No calibration issue for me. DDE gives 1 yr shop warranty too. They also hv the 7yrs extended warranty for $49 for lens under usd$1000.
