it's a very good & sharp lens. i'd indeed tested this lens earlier but after considering 1st - weight and 2nd - price, i decided to get nikkor 35mm f/1.8G instead due to these factors. anyway 0.4, do not make any difference to me as my nikkor only cost and weight half of the sigma lens

The inside you is still longing for the sigma 30mm F1.4 or a F1.4 lens ..don't buff yourself. :bsmilie:

I would get the sigma 30mm F1.4 and quench my thirst if i can afford it. Like this i would not sell the f1.8 at a lost in future to get the f1.4 plus i can use the f1.4(much better lens) NOW!

Since acquired the 30mm, my 50mm f/1.8 been sitting in the dry cabinet most of the time. Like many said, the 30mm already sharp at f/1.4

i think this will be a very good lens for indoor shoot on the crop camera.

just got my 30 f/1.4 a few weeks ago. lovin it. i even sold off my canon 50mm f/1.8 because i suspected i won't even touch my 50mm after the sigma purchase and i'm glad i made the right choice.

Wow, that is abt S$530 (HK$2850), very very very cheap... but i saw from the website, Tin Cheung doesn't have in 4/3s (Olympus) mount... a pity.

I'm not sure. The package inside would have the warranty card, provided you get them to include the sales invoice, then i guess the local Sigma agent will gives you the 1 yr warranty from the date in the sales invoice.
