Someone in B&S is selling the Sigma lens in favour of the Tamron one here. This is one true user experience about these 2 lenses. I also read around and found that Sigma is probably the better lens, ONLY IF you find one good copy. Indeed, one must be wary of Sigma QC. Personally, I am using the Tamron 28-75mm and I already find it rather heavy and solid, so can't imaging using the Sigma 24-70mm, with 82mm diameter lens thread some more, must be quite a mini-monster.
