Just a quick update for interest sake, seemed like a scheduled release in Japan, 1st February 2009, and Yodobashi is taking pre-orders now!! ;p Thus, Singapore should be around maybe April /May 09.

BUT WAIT! Price: 116,800 Yen discounted price :bigeyes: after conversion at current conversion , roughly SGD 1869 !!:bheart: Oh-lala :nono:

I suppose everyone of us wants the original factory lenses, but sometimes that difference of the few hundreds of dollars proved to be the deal breaker, especially for those without the deep pockets.

However, the good thing is that Japan's GST is more expensive that Singapore's, and also the price strategy is different between countries, let's hope the price in Singapore for this lens will be much lower than what we see here.
