i'm just wondering whether 24mm is a frequently used focal length on a full-frame camera? any FF users out there with this lens or a lens with this focal length? Also any FF users with samples at 24 mm focal length? cheers!

how about the 20mm. any kind hearted souls can share some photos?

Loud. Color on the yellowish side.
Soft wide up so step down if u can.
Have since sold. Now using ef 20mm f2.8.

i love the 20mm f1.8 the moment i bought it for my 50D, when i change out to 1Dsmkii i love it more than ever, ya it's tad soft wide open, stopping down to 2.0 or 2.2 really makes it noticeably sharper, f2.5 and above it's very2 sharp, below are my sample images for both 50D & 1Dsmkii,

I am sorry for hijacking this thread, but i am interested in getting the 28mm. What is the price of it roughly do you guys know?

20mm or 24mm better for portrait shots?

Neither. Portraits sigma 85 1.4 is the best :)

85mm isn't it too far?

On FX, it's head and shoulders. On DX, just the face. If you have sufficient distance from the subject, you can take full body shot with compressed background as well.
