Sigma 20 f/1.8 or 24 f/1.8 or 28 f/1.8

Just pulled out my Sigma 24mm f/1.8 after getting a D700, and the results are sweet! Took some shots for fun, and here are some of them wide open...
I am planning to get Sigma 24mm f1.8 for my Nikon D7000 but I am worrying the compatibility issue with new Nikon dslr.
Anyone can confirm is this lens works with d7000?
I read from some other forums some d7000 users reported this lens is not compatible with d7000 and need to send in for re-chip.
Also if I purchased the lens from US, can I get the support and warranty from local sigma?

Will just bring it back to the shop later. Considering that I just brought that guy a new customer who bought over $12.5k worth of stuff yesterday, I think I should be able to get a favor from him. Now I know why people complain about Sigma quality - I've never had this kind of problem with Nikon.
There isn't a Sigma service center that I'm aware of, just an agent.

I've had problems with Nikon also la. Just get it sorted out then no issues already.
Maybe i've been more lucky - only one problem so far with Nikon - the 50mm 1.4G. The SWM motor was squeaking a bit, and after 2 weeks and some debate (the lens was just 29 days old), they replaced it for me.
But yeah, anyone who is keen on a WA lens, consider the 24/1.8 Macro. make sure the lens barrel doesn't rattle, and there isn't a front/back-focusing problem, and you've got a winner on your hands

I just bought my Sigma 24mm F1.8 EX DG Macro last week. After few round of shooting, I notice that lens got difficulties in focusing in low light. You either get back focus or front focus. FYI I am using Canon 7D. Anyone experience that? I send my lens to Sigma service center in Malaysia, that technician told me that I need to send in with body in order to tune the focusing system. I was like WTF? If I got 2 body, then the lens are meant for one body only.
I wonder how's Sigma service centre in Singapore, plan to send my lens to them instead of those jokers BS me..
Overall the lens is good, the only big issue the focusing.
Appreciate if you could share your experience with Sigma.. P/S: this is the first time I getting Sigma lens, and I bet it would be my last..

On a FF cam, the lens works without issues.
On a D300s, I find that the lens will front focus slightly at f1.8 when shooting close to mfd. My way around this is to dial in an adjustment in AF fine tune for
Close focusing distances. And I have the AF fine tune programed into one of my shortcuts. So turn AF fine tune ON when I focus very close. And leave it off when shooting normally. This behavior is called focus shift and is not exclusive to sigma. I've see some Nikon lenses with the same issue in crop bodies.
Again, there is no focusing problems when the lens is mounted to the FF cam.
And no problems when focusing in low light.

normally the sigma technician nd your body and lens tgt so they can calibrate.

if you do it at singapore, it takes only a short while.
do it in singapore would be much better.

(if i had the money i'd go 24 1.4MKII)
also, i am intending to upgrade to FF in the future, and that needs to be taken into consideration as well. this lens works on FF mount too right? any opinions on having this lens for FF as well?

yes this lens work both on FF and cropped cameras.
