Sigma 18-50mm F2.8 or Tamron 17-35mm F2.8-4?

This review link that you posted is for the wide angles, not really applicable for another lens by the same company.

I have the sigma 18-50 F2.8. The constant f2.8 is very useful.
At f2.8, very little vignetting, even with a cheap $18 UV Filter. Personally, I don't find the lens soft at f2.8. However, it is impt to remember that at f2.8, the DoF is very shallow, so it's easy to get OOF pics if your focus is just slightly off.

It's the lens that I use most often. No regrets getting this lens.

I haven't tested the Tamron, but for me, think constant f2.8 and the slightly longer range are more important for me.

Some say this lens is sharp from f4 onwards. I think its sharp from 2.8 onwards.
 

OK...if KRW said Get the Nikon then you better be :lovegrin:
