I'm kinda new to photography. Just wondering if anyone knows how much the above lens cost? Referring to a Nikon mount one. Brand new.

It's about $850. I asked at Alan Photo. Why don't u join the Nikon Equipment forum and ask around? I asked only out of curiosity as I use a Minolta and the Minolta mount is cheaper than either the Canon or Nikon.

and it's a great value lens which I'm sure you'll end up enjoying. Ended up with the Sigma 20/1.8 for $600.

Yes, the price difference is great! The Minolta lens which does not have the HSM is only $780.

The one i looking for (Nikon mount one) also has no HSM....:rbounce: I think this lens has HSM only for Canon mounts. Meaning mine will also be cheaper..... woo hoo!!!!

Oh is it?? I thought Nikon also has some super sonic motor thing. But never mind lah! Cheaper always better right?! Hope that the focussing will be fast cos the lens very heavy.
