anyone got comments on 10-20 sigma and tamron 11-18.
which one better and good buy ?

I can't comment on 10-20mm, but here's my review on tamron 11-18mm.

From your reasoning, I can conclude that both on a DSLR, 10-20 is woder than the 12-24 am I right?

Yes, when mounted on same camera that support both.

Can't tahun, just went to buy one at $888 nett. Going to the garden to take some shots now.

Visited TK Foto today. Nett prices as follows:
Sigma 10-20 mm : S$860
Sigma 12-24 mm : S$1150

Each has its merits. So I still thinking...:think:

thought of buying sigma as tamron lense is very "platisky"

Based on the sample images, it's true, but we would have to see the original size to judge for ourselves.

There're some nice samples here:

Sigma 10-20mm f/4-f5.6 Samples

Mostly (if not all) from Canon users. Color saturation and contrast may have been pushed in/out camera.

thanks for the quick response with samples.

look like it can be used as traveller lense with its super wide angle offered.

but lense quailty and picture angle seems lose out to its sigma 12 -24.

think nikon 12-24 is still the better choice.

or nikon fisheye 16mm or nikon dx 10.5....anyone knows the lense quality of fisheye 16mm and DX 10.5 is both comparable ????
