:bsmilie: ken can rock so well, so can u!

Thanks for all the inputs guys. Still undecided but now leaning towards the Tokina.

I was in your position 2 weeks ago. Its not so difficult to decide.

Like someone mentioned earlier, if u want the extra 2mm, go for sigma, else tokina for built quality.

For me, the extra 2mm makes a difference and thus I went for the sigma. If buying wide, might as well go as wide as possible. Bought mine at TK Photo.

I believe both lens gives similiar image quality.

:bsmilie: ... just woke up so brain not really working :embrass:

the person who sold me tokina 12-24mm mentioned that tokina built quality last longer sigma lens... :)

Just my 2 cents, I tried Sigma 10~20, Tokina 12~24 & Tamron 11~18 before decided on Tokina.

Tamron, superb coating so flare control better but slow on focusing in low light. Good for landscape but not so good in indoor shooting.

Sigma, wider angle and overall good. I will get it if I use canon body.

Tokina, good built and sharp. Faster focusing than tamron but flare easily. F4 constant.

i dunno both lens difference, but i think i want the wide len , so i decide bought Sigma 10-20mm...

i never compare be4 buy sigma 10-20mm.... just know BBB...:bsmilie:
althrough my pics which take from this len some was slanting.... nvm.... still learning....:embrass:

How come you would consider the Sigma if you were to use a canon body and not when using a nikon one?

sigma is my 1st thought.
want wide? might as well get the widest..
constant f4? dun really bother me as i shoot f8 onwards. (except low light but seldom)
after a while i stil tink not wide enough..
tinking of a FE now.. haha.. :bsmilie:
but no money..

I am looking at a UWA as my next purchase. I prefer the Tokina (12-24) over the Sigma, Tamron and Canon. There are not many discussion here on this lens. Maybe, not many ppl own this copy. From what I read in other forums and the many reviews, the Tokina is the best among those from third party manufacturers. Of course, I would love to have the Canon 10-22 if money is no objective to me. The Canon is subtlely better that the Tokina but to me it's not worth the extra money to get it (Canon).

i checked this HK website (Billy's world) and the Tokina price after conversion is less than $650.... can anyone confirm this ? how come price difference so much ? The Sigma is almost the same price here.
