Nice shot. Did you try the food ?

Not me as I was too busy going downslope to shoot the Red Rock Park. My pal did - said the lamb-rib was good. Most of the food on the grill is only 60-70% cooked as she will finished cooking once an order is placed. Plenty of Sichuan spices to make it real hot!

You should have joined us.

Camping here to make up for it.

One day I hope to stand there and take photographs of the Fourth Sister just like you.

More fotos to come.

The group is talking, though still early days, of doing a similar trip but up to yading, daocheng next sept.

Nice photos. Any reasons why you chose ShuangqiaoGou instead of the other 2 valleys at Mt Siguniang? I am planning to visit there in Oct and gearing towards Changping valley.

We did Changping Valley as well as Shuangqiao Valley. Changpingquo is more friendly for walks as it is very well organised with kilometres of boardwalks showcasing different aspects of the Valley. Shuangqiaoquo requires you to take an internal bus for about 45-60 minutes to the top end to get up to the glacier (didn't go up) with bus-hops in between (including a stop for river rafting) - sporadic and shorter boardwalks but rewards you with spectacular reflections of the Lake if the wind does not blow too hard.

#23 - Catholic Church, Moxi Ancient Town, Hailuogou. Mao Zedong stayed here for a brief period during 1935.

#24 : Moxi Ancient Town - interior of the Catholic Church

#25 - Catholic Church, Moxi - looking out (from one of the several rooms used by Mao Zedong) towards Church steeple.

I am planning only a full day there so can only take in 1 valley as still going onwards to Yading & Lijiang. Did u reach Muluozi(木骡子) at Changpinggou? Read its a daunting long trek even on horseback but with rewarding views.
