Another thing is, try hyperfocusing. if u think u taking a bit too long to focus.
For me and RWC, the smoothness of the lens focusing from VC lens we had, doesnt take us long to focus. Practice...

i bought a leica because i felt the bessa shutter was loud..

I hope you didn't buy a Leica because of its Red or Black dot? There will be many people who will jump in and 'shoot' you down Of course, I know you bought and use a Leica for all the right reasons. Leica is definitely more silent, but how does this help you in your photography work? Care to share with us more?

my pick will definately fixed lens rf like Ql-17 quiter sounds, cos of the leaf shutter.
anyway, bessa still ok wit me, dun mind wit the sounds..since the streets much more noisier n louder than the shutter.

Yes yes compact rangefinder like QL-17 or GSN is indeed quiet. What I feel is that Leica very quiet cloth shutter is way over-rated (don't burn me ) as I feel they are still very audible and not much different from my K1000 slr ^_^

But of course shooting around the streets with their noises, it will only comes down to how visible your camera is to your subjects.
