Did a few in Bali recently with 75/1.8, Bali Myna/Starling, close to extinction, taken through a glass in Safari Park.

how do you find the 75mm focal length for birding shots? do u need cropping or they are actually close enough?

how do you find the 75mm focal length for birding shots? do u need cropping or they are actually close enough?

Need a lot of luck coz sometimes it's just not enough. This lens though compensates with it's sharpness even wide open (the shots above are wide open) so you can still crop quite a bit with EM5/L5/P5 sensor. I was rather lucky with the bird as it was in captive so was just within 1.5-2m?
