The dust prompt I refer to is not anywhere outside of the camera exterior but is within the interior part of the VF itself which is sealed up and cannot be clean up by the owners themselves. After owning the x100 for less than a week, it interior VF had collected a couples of visible dusts close to 10 of it that I need to send it to service centre for clean up and re-enforcement in the sealing. There after getting the VF clean up... week later it hit the SAB issues which I requested for replacement. Anyway I would say no need check for the SAB issues as it can just hit on ur camera without any signs. It just happen.

I see. Then I should better watch out for the signs and symptoms of the SAB then. No dust problem for me.

Had bought a $20 fungus Kenko wide angle converter just for fun few weeks back.After testing a few shot found that is useless for me, then I decided to take out all the lens inside become a lens hood. hahaha.

But for street shooting i never use lens hood, because I felt that it make me more visible on the street. I found most ppl keep staring at my camera when i put the lens hood on. Grrrr!(I only used twice for my original lens hood, after that it stay in the box)

the below quick photo snap using phone camera just for fun sharing (i'm not going to use it anyway). But I found that it does give me more stable & a better grip on the lens when taking photo.

NOTE: Oh! it does block about quarter of the OVF view, must use the EVF. No vignetting problem.

Yeah I do agree that a lot of people noticed my X100 whenever I have my hood on. And yes it does block my OVF but it's ok since I use the EVF more often. I cannot stand the mis-alignment of the OVF that's why. :/

How sweet! Actually my X100 is mainly used by my wife and with me using it occasionally. However I decided how I want to "zhng" it.

I would recommend the Mr. Zhou case for the X100. You can purchase it from Chiif's camera at Excelsior Shopping Centre for $95. He also have a wide range of straps available and you can go and take a physical look at them to see which one is to your taste! Have fun!

Hood is from Carl Zeiss. Got it when I bought the camera from B&S.

I actually got the strap from Andy's strap. Cost around $40.

Buy it from eBay as it is much cheaper than from any of our local shops. Just search for "soft release button for Fujifilm X100".
