le petit prince, Did you put the straps onto the lugs correctly...

Am using an Optech strap, guys.. which looks like it won't slip through the leather slots that easily, so I attached directly on the metal lugs. Works fine. :P

Unless you are using the Optech Pro strap with the Pro Loop. I have both the Optech Classic and Envy Staps and it have the 3/8" webbing connectors which is the same as the Pentax stap supplied with K20D and I believe for K-7 also.

The connectors of my Optech are different from the Pentax strap; it's a string-like one unlike the flat one supplied. So I guess it's the Pro version.

Here my first poison.

Poison! For black objects, you may want to +EV by 2-3 stops to bring out the details.

Thanks for the tip! Didn't know that.. :P

Well, the details, if brought out, may be fuzzy, because I was shooting hand-held wide-open at night. And focus is on the lens-teddy plane. But will try it next time!

Oh yeah, for product shots, try to mount it on a tripod. Its ok to let the background burn. dark objects are easier to do. Bright objects will compete with the background. Hence always try to use contrasting backgrounds.

Looks like it could really take some abuse! Just a comment on the filter: is it multi-coated? Non-multi-coated filters degrades the image quality vastly due to high internal reflections, lowering the saturation and sharpness.
