no kidding! May I ask why? Jeez this is making me very nervous, leica poster boy.....

No need to be nervous...it is a fantastic digital M...the best I would say!

I collected the M9 on the same day as I picked up the M6 LHSA package from you. I squeezed off a few shots just to test, check the shutter count an dit went back to the dry cabinet. The strange thing was I felt more excited about the M6 LHSA than the M9. Hence, I decided to let it go and sold it (at cost) last Thursday.

As a replacement, I bought the micro-mini-M9, the D-Lux4 Safari Edition :D

I'm very happy with my setup now. I'm sure the Digital M will come back into my life...hopefully later than sooner...when I'm ready to embrace it.

Brother vincent has one baby missing....if anyone noticed....the jewel in the crown. Now let's see some shots from these beauties!

Dear Bro Dan, my destiny with the ultimate Digital M is not meant to be...yet...we have parted way again :D

I will focus on using these classic Ms first:)

I did & If i'd read in "between the lines" correctly, it has gone to that guy with the most expensive UV/IR filter now!:dunno:
Yeh, would like to know why too?
And Yes! You can't go wrong with the Classics!

U can't deny the classic Ms bro... Typing to u at the restuarant with my M6 n M8. Instant gratification from a digital will never be as lasting as the anticipation of waiting for your films to show up on your monitor.

Hi Dan, I don't think it is the wrong direction. You have been playing with film for 20 years, it is a good time to experience digital which is just another medium to capture all the important and sometimes seemingly trivial moments. I can sense that you are shooting more with the M9.

For me, I've just started in Oct 2009 with the Olympus E-P1. No SLR or DSLR before that. I've many things to learn and experience. Starting and staying with film for a longer while is probably a more enriching experience for me.

morning vincent, you are right in many accounts, I actually find myself shooting more triX now with the m9. The inclusion of digital, albeit, convenient, the cam does not inspire me as much. Hence my waffling. Still do about a roll of film a week so on average my film use did not change. Great machine, no feel at least to me, perhaps I need to change my bias mindset, I could be completely off base. Like you I feel horribly guilty about neglecting my other cams.
