Max, your best hk dealer don't have?? hahaha

In fact, I did not ask but this is only part of limited edition sets and Dr Yao never brakes up sets (I asked him before for other lenses) and he does not sell secondhand...

I asked dealers in Germany but they could not provide any.

omg, just finished reading through this thread, so many good lenses esp shifu wongsan :p

i found its quite hard to find a good 2nd hand body to start with nowadays :(

mint bodies are for collectors, particularly L sealed ones.

for use, just get any cheap body and send for CLA. dents or scratches not impt if user

for digital M8 or M9, you will find if you are patient. last december, market flooded with resale M9s, now in Jan, its all disappeared haha

I remember at one point in time, you can buy a used M9, pay for the upgrade to a M9-P and it will still cost alot less than a new M9-P. I guess alot of people figured that out.

Here is a pic of my M9 posing with a pair of Leica gloves with my now dead 35mm Summilux F/1.4 ASPH FLE, it is stuck wide open at F/8 and will only close one to 2 stops before locking up again. So it is pretty much either wide open or around F/2. Luckily I brought a Sony A77 with me as well.

This is the second time Leica has failed me in 2 trips within 2 months. First my charger died for no reason, charged one battery, removed it, put in another, dead. Now a dead 35 Lux FLE.

Seem to remember there was a forumer at the rangefinderforums who complained that Leica's QC has been degrading. For a 35 Lux FLE to break, something seriously wrong must have happened, like a broken gear or something.

To be fair, my 35 Lux FLE is one of the first ones out of the factory and it has been with me through almost 35000 shutter actuations (for the 35 Lux alone). On the other hand, I have older lenses and lenses that I have used about the same amount and tortured the same way and they have not failed me. (knock on wood).

Having gears that cost so much to fail you twice sounds like an awfully painful experience. :(

Is there any warranty left to service the 35 Lux?

No idea, how long is the Leica warranty for lenses? 24 months? If it is, then it is still under warranty. From my experience, Leica has always been pretty reasonable with their repair costs, it is their accessories that they rip you off.

Anyway, I hate being stuck without a 35mm, I bought a pretty good conditioned 35mm f/1.4 Summilux ASPH from Kitamura Cameras yesterday and used it today. Aperture ring is a little loose, but focusing seems to be spot on.

My absolute dream Leica. Finally found it after looking high and low for 2 years. Only problem, it is brand new!!! I was expecting to find a used one so I can use it, but with it being brand new, I am not sure I will ever use it.
