Thanks Doc! I hope to see you at the next outing, and not in the Hot Seat ah. BTW, the mouth rinse you let me try is damn good lah. I so hate Listerine!

Pretty pretty...
I wonder who/what made you get one, albeit so shortly after your M2 *winks at pixelbrain*

Nice one Benji, I like it! The next step is spending more on old skool Lieca or exotic Jap lenses. I'm sure folks like Gommy or HOC can 'help' you along in your journey!:bsmilie::bsmilie::bsmilie:

Nice one, Benji!!! Yah, i tot you mentioned it's a M2 ?

poison runs deep
He got both in the end, apparently there was some problem with his M2

Muahahahaha! Mervin is right! Its a long story, and I did get both the M2 and M3. I am much poorer, but now that I have the main M's in my collection, I am dead broke.
Astroboy, exotic is the word. Gommy is outta my league, Thomas can help, but his taste is not exactly 'cheap' either...
ZoomP, yes, I did get the M3 as well. Will have to fill you in the next time I see you. Hopefully its during the Malacca trip ya?

Goodbye Rukia, my M6 ...she is rebirth into M8 now :)

Boy that was fast! Why didn't you keep the M6 too! Nice to be able to shoot both digital and film.

Yup, Jon...that was really fast, hahah. I trade in the M6 to fund this M8.
Know new learning curve on how to meter digitally ( i now realize M6 metering really good man)
I know I won't be using film that often once i get digital.

That's what we all say, and one day when funds are sufficient you will find yourself buying another film camera. ;););)

You will buy back a film Leica for sure bro. There's no escape. Go get a M2 and M3 and learn to shoot with external light meter or Sunny16. Anyway, congrats on the M8. Digital is only half the fun compare to a film Leica....

May buy a film Leica but not necessary will do film. I'm one good example, got film Leica, but somehow I find the film process too troublesome for me today. Shot a couple of rolls of B&W but I didn't even develop them! I do not even know where I left the exposed film. Loaded a TriX in M7 for 3 weeks and have not shot a single shot yet. Two reasons, I think....I started with film and was doing film from 1983 till maybe 2001 (both developing negatives and darkroom printing for both B&W and colour), so film is not something "new" to me. Secondly probably need more time than digital do scan and post-process. (B&W probably a lot simpler) At this moment, time is not really on my side, whatever time I have it's spend doing a little photo-taking and also doing school work with my daughter.
Not to get me wrong, I did enjoy the "darkroom" work especially printing B&W.
I do appreciate the B&W and the film look but to me it's just too "leh-chay", maybe just enjoy the work of our fellow Cser here till I have more time on my side. Life is always about balances, isn't it?
Of course, there may be issue about chemical disposal and its impact to the environment to think of nowadays.:dunno:

Analogue still always have a place in our heart :)
Like music, listening to vinyl really shiok ...those mp3 compression cannot compare.
However, the convenience of mp3 sometimes is better (instead of going to turntable and flip Side B after every 25 minutes)
this is something similar to film & digital processing.

Congrat...A warm welcome to the world of RF...enjoy...:D

BTW...nice cool shot of your M8

Mike I am looking forward to your film shots for awhile now. You are one who still stays true to
Your m8 n the images produced so far have been top-notch. Always make me wonder why I switched to m9 from m8. Anyway, for u it's been there done that but for most of us, it's still the romanticism of using an old film camera.
