woah damn fast, my 27inch still havent come yet

Gary, I got mine stock with free upgrade to 8gb RAM, keyboard protector and a reduced price on Applecare. Warning!!! It's damn big and don't maximize your screen when surfing web.

Nice! Don't you find it a little too big though? Even with my 24", I have to reduce the size of all my pages.

Only thing I like is playing games and looking at photos.

Jon, yes it's damn big and I was quietly cursing myself for not checking it out. Think the screen is not meant for us to view maximize. The idea is for a big digital workspace, so now I minimize my apps around a normal screen size. Only use Lightroom maximize. The details on the 27 inch is amazing compared to the 21.5 inch. I pulled out the same photo on both machines to compare when I was at the Apple store.

That looks like a naughtilux! :D

Yes, it's a noct.

Here is my Steel Grey M9.:)

wa lau! Why you got free 8GB ram upgrade?

I did a few custom upgrades that have to be factory installed, so still not here yet......

I'd thought that I'd just make a cameo appearance here before some ppl complain how they can and the others cannot... wrong thread, wrong sub-forum.

cheers.

btw, nice noct!!

Yep, I am without a Leica for a short while and I feel lost back then. So I decided to go back to a M9.

Yes got two instead, one of them is back to Leica to fix a SD card problem.

Seems like the SD issue is more common than not. So far at least 3 of us locally got this problem. QC QC QC!

my newly acquired chrome M4 that just flew in from US...love it to bits!!

Wah nice. Got box also!

I am M4 fan too. I am a big fan of M4 rapidload system after i saw Garry Winogrand reload his M4 without even looking at his camera. M4 represent the peak of Leica power lei!

But hor, how come ur gordy strap length is liddat wan. Its too long to be wrist strap and too short to be neck strap. Its also attack to one lug only. How u use that strap wan???

hahahaha...i like the strap that way....i can hang it around my neck or shoulders if I want...and if i'm shooting, i'll wrap it around my forearm twice...that way, i have best of both worlds...can use as neckstrap and also handstrap....it also is not in the way when I wanna shoot like how any conventional strap attached to both lugs would....to each its own though...but to me, this strap works the best for me...

its long enough for me to use as a neckstrap...

Your M4 looks mint and 'minty' (since ppl like to use the 'icy' term). Need to go over to your place sometime to fondle it. Can't wait for mine to be back from Phillip's.

Ok. Got your Leica. Next lenses. Haha.

Something I learnt about the M9, may not be related to your problem, is that you absolutely cannot put the SD card in the wrong way. With most card readers, we insert the SD card until we meet resistance and we realize it's should be inserted the other way, but with the reader in the M9, the moment you meet resistance it is already too late. Even a little bit of stress will cause one portion to bend/crack, causing it to fail to read almost all cards.

I assume the DOA M9s are the result of the QC putting the cards the wrong way in and then breaking that part but because the cards they use are those that still work it passes.

This isn't just a QC issue, it seems that they have decided to go cheap on materials.
