Out of curiosity. What do those using a m2/3/4 meter with? Do you use a sekonic light meter? Or the voigtlander vcii? Or even any iPhone apps that would do the job?

Thanks!

hi,

VCii meter is quite expensive but very worth it.
It is reflective, meaning it won't solve backlit problems.
i used to lug a sekonic 398 handheld but not practical for street.

the key issue for street is the shadows from the buildings,
one rule of thumb is sunny16 less 3 stops for shade.

in my recent trip, i took one reading, left the aperture at f8 on the 35mm lens,
then modified the shutterspeed according, so that i don't have to refocus
as i used dof focusing.

still learning and making mistakes along the way, thank goodness film is forgiving.

the free iPhone light meter app worked fine enough because there was a small window for a preview. I can just compensate accordingly for backlighting. But I got a VCii as a gift so I'm using that now. I like it because it is small and convenient to use. Plus it gives the readings for more than 1 stop so I find that convenient. It is a matter of preference at the end of the day. Agree with raytoei, the VCii isn't worth it. Hint for one when its your birthday :)

This ant is about 5mm in size! Focusing was a real workout!

It looks like a really awesome rig. :bsmilie: But isn't the 16 a fisheye? Share some pictures please? ;p

NazgulKing, I have posted 2 images taken with Zuiko 16mmf3.5 Fisheye in "Share your RF photo" thread, here

Hey guys I loaded my m2 with its original spool with my self rolled film. However whilst rewinding the leader tore off and got stuck in the spool. Firstly is there anyway to remove it? The lead is completely tucked into the slit, nothing sticking out. And secondly is it common for bulk rolls to tear that easily? Thanks
