I just wann know wat's wrong for being standing on my ladder there, with my fren ... ??

if u can't explain, do not anyhow say ...

You probably think that anyone who doesn't have the same mentality as you, is wrong.

The main purpose of any showcase is meant for audience viewing. As photographers who aren't part of the official media crew or press pool, it is only considerate that you ensure you aren't blocking the people standing around you.

I really do not understand the entitlement mentality that tells some individuals that public events are privileged places to practise photography.

Sure, by all means, shoot away, just remember to be considerate and do it with others in mind, and keep to the rear or the sides.

if u would to attend such an event, pls take a look , everywhere is crowded , even if I would stand on the step ladder by the side ... there will still be ppl beside US ............
Come to think, if we were to stand on the ladder by the side . I believe the TS will still raise out his voice...

erm, don't think the TS will raise out the voice if ladder user is standing at the side or at the back... (do see first post)

anyway, good to at least hear from the ladder gang and what's in their mind...

Recently at Eastpoint, during the Miss Singapore World SemiFinals, there was a group of PGs who are standing right behind the judges (who are sitting down), and they actually stand on the ladders and block everyone behind.

Why use a ladder when it is not necessary as there is no one blocking in front?

they thought that they are pro by using ladder.. Another mentality...haha..
But for us, we think they are inconsiderate people rather than pro..

good luck to the ladder gang.... maybe we try to shoot their faces if we manage to spot them (very easy to spot).

If the ladder gang stand by the side, still blocked ppl, LPPL
stand at the back, perhaps all the way back behind the crowd, imagine if is jolin coming,
The TS can try shoot and get proper pics , by all means do so...

By standing on the ladder in a open to public event and blocking others are plain selfish.

Not only you are blocking others view to the perfomance or star. You create an hazard to those walking around the ladder. What if someone trip on your ladder and fall?

Nothing wrong with standing on a ladder. In fact, if they stand on a ladder the whole day in their own house, I couldn't care less.

In that case I put it to you that you were wrong in your earlier thinking as well.

You are wrong in thinking that I have this thinking.

You blocked those that are standing behind you.

If the public want to go forward, passing you, they might trip.

If public in front of you decided to not see the performance anymore. They might trip while walking pass you.

Even those standing beside you might trip when they move about.

Maybe you should consider setting up a barrier around your ladder so that no one will move close enough to your ladder and trip.

Worse case, you might fall from the ladder if someone knock against you.

Maybe no one in this world is that blind.

On a side note, by standing so tall on the ladder, ladies beside you must beware.

Again, why do you need to be on the ladder?

I don't know about you but I think you live in a world where everyone around you is a klutz, and every photographer you know is hum sup. Your statements are all so far fetched they could reach Antarctica. :nono:
