The problem is lies with the customers. Too many GWCs here are just too easily satisfied. As long as a xmm smiles at them, wears a little less, stands in front of their camera, they are happy. So, customers' demand is satisfied, but that does not means the standard is good. I really should not use the word "good". In many instances, the best I can say is "just above sucks".




This is the SAD part. You meant, the photographer's skills, artistic talent and track record for producing good to great images do not count as incentives? This is really sad.




Cannot agree more. Many are just too deluded, they thought, they believe and worst, they were told that they were beautiful, they should be models. And in reality, well, they really cannot. So, as customers, if we accepts subpar products and services, we deserve to get what we are dished. **see my comments about GWCs above**

so where got time for new models to search and go thr all the photographers' work? where got time to meet up with photographers for pre shoot discussion? all want fast fast chop chop, got photos better than their handphone pix can liao, money can roll in fast fast right? since lots of guys are not that picky right?

btw, how many "models" have you been rejected har? lost count liao right?

if you check around, this is very true. Most of the newface mollers have less than 5 actual "training" shoots, with some even get paid by "organizers" in their virgin shoot, (like what some claim to be like $20 for a half-day shoot, and where photographers paid 6x$30, the difference go to the organizers).

IMO, there are some factors that contribute to this pathetic state that we are in ...
1. too many GWCs and too few new faces, (thus the demand outstrips the supplies...)

2. too many "organizers" and too few good but cheap mollers, (organizers are known to filch mollers from other organizers thru badmouthing, higher $, incentives, etc thus reducing the need to improve the skills of the mollers by the original organizer, and also since there are so many organizers, competition is keen, and no body is willing to groom mollers anymore. Also GWCs are not willing to pay good money for good mollers and so organizers got no choice but to look for cheap mollers)

3. too many good photographers:sweat::sweat::sweat: shooting new faces, (this is ironical. Mollers offer TFCD only to good photographers and because they are good, the images are outstanding, thus resulting in newfaces thinking that they are naturally talented and good enough to ask for payment straight away.)

4. paying too little to the good mollers and too much for the new faces, and because of the need for new faces, many popular mollers with popular faces/b00bs/body but who can't pose often ask and get the same as very seasoned mollers' fee.
