Gigarex said:Bro, How do you rate the Tammy 70-300 VC USD? I am eyeing this baby too. Can't afford the Canon 70-300L IS USM. :embrass:
for the EF 17-40 F/4 L USM, is it important to have IS?
should I pair EF S 10-22mm with EF 17-40 & 70-200L?

SoundOfSilence said:earlier in the thread you asked about 10-22 and 24-105 combo, now you asking 17-40 and 10-22
seems to me that you don't know what lens you wanna use and just wanna buy an L
Do you really need 10-22 and 70-200 as well? Your like buying on people's recommendations and also to fill up the gaps
Is the lens construction for 17-55 & 17-40 almost the same?
Wide, get the 14mm F2.8. Tele, get 200F2. In between, get 85F1.2, 135F2
If lazy get 16-35F2.8 and 70-200F2.8
So far with these lenses, I never regreted. and kill all BBB virus. (cos nothing else to buy! hahaha)
Tried my friends 17-85, I will say the 18-55 also can match it's quality.
comparing EF S 17-55mm vs EF S 17-85mm, what will I loose out
Lol, You will lose $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
Anyway, if you get the 17-55 over 17-85, you lose 30mm at the long end (obviously), but you gain constant f/2.8 and improved image quality.
if I get the 17-55mm, I might need to sell away the 17-85mm..but this 17-85mm lens doesn't sell well..
then keep and lose more money?
i think you should read up and shoot more to realise what you really need.
