Wahaha i just saw your blog, we use the same bag, same colour, our camera both got gaffe tape , and we both have moleskinne in our bag ( mine is a sketch book moleskinne through )

To excelglsi Contax T2 is not a RF but a compact but i heard the lens and build quite good.

don't tell me camera same also haha! My moleskine sketch book ran out of pages i haven't bought another one yet. I used the 3 thin sketch books instead of the thick one.

all have their uses. i like to take my RF for travel. its small, light and compact. i also still like to shoot slide/ B&W film, so a film camera makes sense to me still.

the relatively cheap, but extremely high IQ lenses, are also another selling feature. epsecially value for money brands like voightlander.

downside is the focusing though. daytime is okay. you can shoot at a high aperture and as others ahve said, can roughly gauge distances.

but recently i decided to take it for a wedding shoot (and not having used it for a while). the pictures came out pretty bad. i was out of touch with focusing, so there were a lot of soft unusable shots.

also, trying to focus on the couple walking down the isle, was almost impossible as the church was quite dim.

i learnt a lot of lessons from that day. die die must up the aperture, cannot shoot wide open or near to wide open.

but really, i should have just brought my canon film body for that shoot. so to everything, it has its place.

have anyone tried olympus om system??? i found them to be as good as a rf system . in terms of size and weight. my om 4 with a 50mm f1.2 is even lighter & smaller than my m6 with a 35mm f1.2. For wide angle lens, u can pick up a 28mm f2.8 or f3.5 for penuts in ebay as to compare to any lens. the quality of olympus zuiko lens is well known for the sharpness and tone.

You are absolutely spot on. Leica/RF reminds me a lot of my first camera system-Olympus OM & Zuiko lenses.
In fact, kinda regret selling my minty collection of about 26 prime lenses + 6 bodies not too long ago.:cry::cry:
Good thing, I still have a few pieces to remind me: OM2N-my first camera,
Zuiko 16mm fish-eye, Zuiko 18mmf3.5, Zuiko 50mmf2macro & Zuiko 100mmf2 (the lot of lens that missed the sale as they were kept at my in-law's place)
OM is a absolutely gorgeous system!

26 prime lenses + 6 bodies !!!! omg. does your collection includes 40mmf2 ,21mm f2???
I seriously recomend anyone to try a om system. All this talk about m3 or bessa r3's viewfinder. Try anyone of the om system with a 50mmf1.2 or 50mm f1.4, the viewfinder is really huge and bright.

Gommy, nordleadx... U are poisoning me with the OM virus now....

Now you know why I'm obsess with 40mm? OM Zuiko has a 40mmf2 pancake lens that I really like. So now, I have all the 40mm available for Leica except the Russian Helios 113 (40mmf1.8)
I still have a XA set that I have not use yet:)

if not mistaken, his extensive Om system was exhibited during one or more of the photo shows back during those days, that says something...power man!

Gommy does not believe there is a 21mm f2. ;p Anyway, the limiting factor for the OM was that there was not enough lenses to get, so he switched to Leica. A few more and it will be 52 lenses! :bsmilie:

E420 with 25mm pancake also can!

You win this time:sticktong

You can still use the 21mm f2 with the M8. Hurry....... better than 21mm f2.8!:thumbsup::lovegrin:

Where, where where? Direct me:bsmilie:

Call me for now for a personal consultation! Check your PM. I have sourced for you a new 21mm f2! Brand new in box.

Forget all those "experts" who tell you about 21 f4 and above or 21 f2.8. You can have low light shooting with an extra stop with your favourite lens that whacks out even the Canon L!

Kum Siah. It's gone.....taken;)

Now you need to special indent the adpater from Germany. I suspect they have to manufacture from scratch. If not, there is one source from Italy! :bsmilie:

Even Gommy has to break his own "LTM" rule for this lens. Adapter will be German made of course. :bsmilie:

Ya, right! Maybe just use on my EOS or my OM2N:bsmilie:
