all have their uses. i like to take my RF for travel. its small, light and compact. i also still like to shoot slide/ B&W film, so a film camera makes sense to me still.
the relatively cheap, but extremely high IQ lenses, are also another selling feature. epsecially value for money brands like voightlander.
downside is the focusing though. daytime is okay. you can shoot at a high aperture and as others ahve said, can roughly gauge distances.
but recently i decided to take it for a wedding shoot (and not having used it for a while). the pictures came out pretty bad. i was out of touch with focusing, so there were a lot of soft unusable shots.
also, trying to focus on the couple walking down the isle, was almost impossible as the church was quite dim.
i learnt a lot of lessons from that day. die die must up the aperture, cannot shoot wide open or near to wide open.
but really, i should have just brought my canon film body for that shoot. so to everything, it has its place.
