[ Shopping ] - Price of ep2?

i got this same guy offering me $980 for my E-P2 with EVF and Pany 20mm. He claimed another seller offered him that price. Phone number ends with 8280 as well. His nick is decottar. Anyway i sold mine already near my asking price.

Maybe Harvey Norman was quoting for E-P1. Sometimes im tempted to be rude in my reply, but i decide not to as usually they will be abusive and fighting with words is just like small kids in kindergarten.

Maybe he is a kid...or maybe an adult who thinks everyone is stupid and will take his word for it.

Okay at least confirm it's the same guy. No need to be rude to him lah - why spoil your day? Obviously he's just fishing. Suspect he's an adult who probably thinks he's dealing with kids. He has a lot of time to be sending the same silly SMS to people.

damn so this is a silly ruse from a desperate kid...TMD..

Tx for informing.

i am not sure if this is appropriate... Can I ask why do you all sell the E-P2?? =X
because I am interested in either getting
1. E-P2 w EVF w 20mm
2. E-PL1 w the same things
3. E-P2 w EVF w 17mm
i wanted to shift to something smaller but I was wondering if a LX5 will be good enough since i sold my lx3

There are many reasons I guess, some is just don't suit them, AF speed, etc, best is you go down and have a feel physically and have a look at images taken by the community and review sites

LX5 and LX3 is quite similar probably different in image quality but more or less about the same

Its like looking for a girlfriend...sometimes there is nothing wrong with the girl, but just doesnt feel right...haha

the images from the E-P1 or E-P2 or E-PL1 are all fantastic. Most of the images in my street thread were taken with my E-P2.

If you dont think you want to fiddle so much with settings often, and value the flash, then get the E-PL1. The E-P2 is great for casual shooting where no flash is needed. Sometimes family portraits demand some fill in flash to get a balanced look, especially when there is backlight. Other times, the lighting is in the right place, then there is no need for flash. Its good to have on-board flash, but the trade off is they usually do more damage than good as results can be harsh.

The reason I'm selling my EP-2 is a bit different. I like prime lenses. I had initially bought an EP-2 with 17mm and EVF when it first came out. I found the focusing slow with the original firmware. SoI bought the GF-1 with 20mm f1.7. I liked the speed but didn't like the GF-1 for many reasons; chiefly the GF-1 has no image stabilization on the body. So only lenses like the 20mm F1.7 is left without IS. I also found GF-1 tends to use a lower shutter speed at a given low light scene (Blurry pics). The Olympus EP-2 was spot on but I had already sold mine. Olympus then released the new firmware that improved the autofocus. I tried it and like it, so I bought another. Itchy backside I borrowed my nephew's full frame Sony A-850. Unfair comparison but I liked what the Sony was producing - it's huge sensor was really somthing else. Now I've been bitten by the full frame bug and considering between Canon 5D MkII, Sony A-850 and Nikon D700! - So to cut a long story short - I need funds. BTW I tried the EPL-1 - it's nice but I don't like having to delve in menus and submenus. The thumbwheel of the EP-2 and EP-1 is really nice to use with the menu wheel - DSLR like with compactness of the Pen. I still havnt make up my mind about full frame. The bulk of the cam and lenses is always a hinderance. I'm also looking to the Fuji finepic X-100 but that's gonna be expensive for a camera where you can't even change lenses! Don't know leh...hmm..maybe should keep the EP-2 ;-)
