Got it all. I'm not sure if I mentioned above or not...but I want to try to use a P&S camera. My goal is to be able to take some decent night/low-light shots with a P&S cuz I wanna be able to do it when I travel. And I only travel with my smaller P&S cameras. The reason I want slides is cuz I wanna do something with them (an arts and crafts project, if you will) once I get them developed and mounted.

WOW ! so many P&S cameras

As long as it supports long exposure >1 sec, timer mode, just mount it with tripod should able to get decent night shots. Of course with wider angle would be better.

I recommend you the Pentax Espio 24EW P&S camera. It has a bulb setting from 1 sec to 5 mins! And it goes like this:-
1sec, 5sec, 10sec, 15sec, 30sec, 1min, 2min, 3min, 4min & 5min.
Btw, it also have a remote control to activate the camera too. Plus the lens zoom range is from 24mm-105mm. Just nice for scenery & human potraiture shots.
In the end, is all up to trail & error to perfect a shot.;p
Hope I'm not talking any no brainer stuff again.
