IMHO, there is nothing morally wrong with shooting showgirls or booth babes, just that it will become rather uncomfortable for the girls when there is constant shooting even when they are taking their break.. or worse, some photographers just keep shooting away, which makes the girls uncomfortable.. :sticktong

fully agree.. dun worry ! in future if u spot such rogue photographer.. just beat him up and cry molest aloud... !

there were a few cases in IT show in Suntec and were taken away by police, they used PNS and shoot from under skirt.

These poor photographers have a few dozens of 8GB CF cards to fill mah. If don't shoot non-stop like machine gun how to fill them cards up?

Let's not make the photographers uncomfortable also leh. You think their forefingers don't hurt shooting so long?

Anyway if picture is taken "tastefully" (pretty subjective here, but can't be helped lah), Showgirls pics can look nice without been pornographic or offensive.

I went to the recent Singapore Arts Festival and some of the foreign female performers (dancers) also dressed provocatively, so where to draw the line? :dunno:

First of all, I do not shoot promoters at IT or any such shows, I do not shoot models at fashion show, I don'[t like to shoot in these enviroments.

That said.

I absolutely disagree with the person quoted by the TS. It's an unhealthy elitist mentality. It's impending into other's freedom to express.

Yes, "tastefully" is very subjective, but judging by the comments by the viewers on some particulate thread, more or less you can tell the mindset of the thread starter and his viewers liao.

Yes it improves my skill with auto mode with auto exposure and auto focus and on-camera flash on TTL setting with lightsphere for a Pro look :bsmilie:

Composition wise as long as got head and body inside frame can liao lah. :bsmilie:
