Power? =p Harddisks do tend to go to sleep if left idle for long periods of time (healthy setting if you don't keep using them every other minute or so) And...it's SATA nowadays. I don't know about you, but my rig can hold up to 4 HDDs and 4 IDE devices. Should be quite sufficient for most applications.

HDD's do go idle, but they still suck up juice if you leave them internal. You'd need a 450W to 500W to keep them powered up and not forgetting the amount of heat they will generate internally... that's another consideration.

I'm still running a older set-up which is why I dun have SATA yet. Mebbe my next PC upgrade...
