i once watched a shoot on tv.
there was a huge team of experts involved.
make up artists, hair stylists, wardrobe person, lighting person, concept developement team many more ...
its wat we should aim for, but many a times we are a one man operation.
its a tough and competitive business, nothing is really that easy in life.

Well it really boils down to how much the client can afford.

Sometimes all we need is one photographer and one make up artist to do wonder.

No need a huge scale of people to capture or produce nice decent photos.

This look like just another friendly weekend shoot. What is there to do with toughness and business point of view?

2focus, what's wrong with dp's critique that would be wasting your time?

Its fine to comment and advise on the photographers technique etc but I believe certain remarks which can be considered degrading to the model shd not be made. Tried not to dwell further into this coz I know different people will view differently, so thats why i mentioned that I shall not waste time on this.

2Focus, I wish yu read and understand what I wrote before you response. Maybe then you will come across making sense.

I commented on 1) you should take your time and pay attention to details. Nothing to do with the model. 2) Messy hair, photographer's problem not fixing them. 3) The bra the model wears looks unsightly.

Now, where and what did I say that is considered to be degrading to the model? I challenge you to point out how I degraded the model?

By the way, if the flaws of a picture are caused by the model, should the model not be criticized?

I think Deadpoet is very true to the point and good valid reason to let you know your problems.

You have a great looking model which is a full advantage as you have her to yourself. If I were you, I would have done a lot more with the model.

Be humble and you will learn more.

i agree.. i'm actually thinking i wouldn't mind shooting her myself, i think she's got potential, but the TS failed to do a good job photographing her but that's fine, cos everyone's still learning, the funny thing is out of this whole thread, i actually thoguht dp's critic was the most useful and it wasn't appreciated.....

boggles the mind...

2focus: i really don't see where dp has been derogatory to your model, perhaps this is a subjective viewpoint of mine that can't see yours. but one thing i can share is when i was at ur stage, i would have been happy to receive critiques like dp's... his tone is much better now then when he first came on CS....
