The problem with some sellers, and not just on this forum, is that they keep thinking about how much they paid for the item when they bought it, without adequately factoring in depreciation, the current street price of the item (or its replacement) and the market price for the item used.
Having said that, there are bargains here too. For example, the guy who sold his canon ef-s 10-22mm lens yesterday for $500! :bigeyes: Unfortunately, I saw the ad too late. :dunno:

- Pay cash ... less 2% .. so around 2685 (VS locally around 3.4K to 3.5K ..cannot understand why?!!). A little more expensive than if you buy online from USA but you get to test the lens on the spot and still covered by 1 yr shop warranty.
-30 day exchange policy.
-1 yr shop warranty for manufacturing defect.
-Lens code UY10XX ... made quite recently in Oct.
-Comes with USA Canon Limited Warranty Card.
-CD-Rom .. no more booklet.
-Tested and no issue with lens ..sharp,clean ... Learning how to use it & Loving it!
-Ordered Sun ... Today collected.
-Goods from USA as mentioned by shop.
-Not all Canon lenses are cheaper.
-Friendly staff, nice shop but you need to be able to test the goods yourself. Don't expect them to test for you.
Anyway .. I don't think its a 'fly-by-night shop' ...they been around for years.

hmm, seems like you got a great price there considering it's a grey set! however DD-Electronics will provide 1 year warranty right?

nope my main equipment still purchased from BnS, only ridiculous seller that are threatened by DD other wise i still see much greater deal at BnS then buying at DD, also DD's collection of third party lens is limited not to mention u can find a good old lens in BnS, nothing can beat that

Business seems very good when I was there and got to wait a while before my turn. Best part, this guy Azman, who is one hell of a nice guy, told me it's 30 day 1 to 1 exchange if there's anything wrong with my unit. Am definitely impressed!

Just a side note, was told that prices fluctuates according to USD vs SGD rate....so now, I am praying the USD to weeken more so that gears can become cheaper

I just bought from them Canon Kiss X4... I asked about the hot pixel, the guy said there is minimum number of Hot Pixel that is not under warranty... so better check that carefully.. I tested with deadpixel software, luckly it said 0 dead pixel.. also, another guy name Mike (if I am not wrong), he is really funny guy.. btw, I got free Singapore plug for my charger..
their Speedlight 580 EX II now $606 , if cash - 2%.. very tempting too... (check the B&S, guy selling for 630 FIXED for 2nd hand... LOL)

I did a check in ACRA website, they are registered. Got BRN also, and it is stated on the receipt. At the back of my receipt, it is stated in black and white, that there is a 1 year warranty by the shop against manufacturer's defects. The receipt has my name, address and contact number, and states the item purchased and date. The receipt serves as the "warranty card". Hope that helps

Hopefully by printing toooooo much money, the USD will eventually drop to 1=1 and that time, we can buy the price as shown in B&H, Amazon..... in SGD... hahaahhahhaha... thick too much liao...
