Please Help : All the Red Eye correction softwares in the market fail miserable on this little guy!!! :bsmilie:

Sharing this little guy, the skipper is a dull brown above and ochreous buff below, with distinctly whitish yellow cilia on its wings. The characteristic feature of this small butterfly (average 18mm wingspan) are the red eyes which are very obvious in the field.

The focus point was centred on the red eye...... this is a true representation of the eye color in the field , it is an unbelievable blood red!

Matapa aria ( Common Redeye )

Troides helena cerberus ( Common Birdwing )

Troides-helena-cerberus.jpg

ISO1600 1/200s F/8, Fill-flashed , Handheld. Image rotated 90 degrees anti-clockwise.
Canon 1D3 with Tamron 180mm Macro and EX580II

A pristine specimen hanging onto a fern , awaiting the morning sun to warm her up to take flight. The actual orientation of the butterfly was below the sagging fern due to the BF's weight . Rotated the shot anti-clockwise to give tension and a more pleasing composition to the subject and perch.

Hope you like it !

Cheers!
Uncle Sunny, I love this shot. When I first saw it, I thought it was a painting.:thumbsup::thumbsup:

The Yamfly shot is simply magnificent.

Brian,

You can do it too just with some practice and perseverance!!

And you are doing fine , and have many years ahead to perfect it!!:)

Cheers!

Note : Young Brian is even younger than Johnathan , he has just abandoned his P&S and "hijacked" his daddy's DSLR and T-180 for butterfly photography.
