Sharing a shot of the Malay Tailed Judy captured on 19th September 08 in the Central Forest Catchment Area of Singapore.

This butterfly, as with its close cousin, Abisara geza niya and Abisara saturata kausamboides(Malay Plum Judy), is a forest butterfly and is rather timid. It shares the same common Riodinid habit of flitting from perch to perch and settling with partially--open wings as is shown in the photograph.

Sharing this rare Yellow Flash capture on 20th Sept 08

The yellow flash is one of the rarest of the Rapala family found in Singapore, this is my third encounter with this species in as many years . It is a forest species and fly with great speed , a very difficult subject to track amongst the cluttered vegetation . However, this time, managed a fairy good shot of this species when it flew past me and settled on a shady tree line on 20th Sept 08.

I will like to go on a butterfly outing with some of the folks here. Do you fellows have anything planned on 1-Oct (Hari Raya holiday)?
