Mark,

Very well taken shots of these work permit holders! Color , clarity, Dof , fill-flashed are all well control producing and overall pleasing image. My pick goes to #2.

Perhaps it is just me, and this is really nit-picking!;p, a rotation of around 20 degrees anti-clockwise for #1 and #2 would put the BFs in a prouder stance and further enhance the appeal of both shots. It is generally preferable to have the BF level or slightly on an incline to present it in better stance.

As a picture is worth a 1000 words . I hope you dun mind! I took the liberty of re-orientating them to illustrate the point,

thanks sunny for the kind words. i think after u've demonstrated the rotation, i really do agree that it looks better, i think i was contesting with myself to align the butterflies legs horizontally or to get a nicer composition with the background. end up aligning the body and the background.

i got another shot here but its in landscape. hope it is better
