Bought one of those AF extension tubes on ebay. The plastic mount ones are cheaper.
This was shot with just the 10mm extension. The lens is practically resting on the foolscap paper.

Just to give a heads up for anyone who might still be interested in a v2+10-30mmm kit. Courts is clearing out the white version at $398 this weekend.

Thanks. I saw the advert in Sat's Straits Times. A V2 photo was shown but the description was generic with no mention of V2. Unless you actually saw the V2 on the shelf, I can't be sure. Tried calling Courts to verify but unable to get through. As I stay on the other side of the island, don't want to go all the way and be disappointed.

It is a good price if it is indeed a V2 and I can live with a white body for that price. If it is a V2 and stock is still available, I will seriously consider taking time off to check it out.

I bought one set this morning. On the display shelf, it was still listed at sgd999
Told the sales staff that I am looking for the Nikon 1 offer. The got a new set for me from under the counter.
Came with 8GB sandisk ultra (I have too many of these) and a nice small (brown) canvas camera bag.

My old V1 is also white but in black silicone case.

Thanks, bro. Based on your info, I decided to take a chance and went down to Courts after dinner. Just came back with the white V2 (actually I quite like the colour). The salesman said he still have a number of V2 sets. Although I already have a black V1, cannot resist asking him about the white V1 on display. Unfortunately no offer for V1. I am having a ball with the new CX 70-300 on the V1 and looks forward to trying it out with the V2.

With this sudden purchase, I have to re-evaluate my plan to purchase a V3 overseas during my year-end holiday. Once again, thanks for the tip-off.
