Well technically speaking this is just a point n shoot pictures without any thought of
composition in mind....

But here in this thread it is about pictures taken from a camera phone (or HP Camera some call it)..

Here i would say nice shot considering the limitation of a camera phone used ( i think its a 2 or 3.2 mp)

Do take note what other have commented on your photos posted in the critics section... at least that's how i learn photography;)

Photos that look nice/cute to me (Ugly baby syndrome) may look very dull or ugly to other viewers..;)

Good and would like to know did you PP your pictures or direct from the phone

2 things i did... as i edited the photo in office, which dont hv any good program to do it.. so i just rotate it a bit.. and then resized it..

but hv to say.. few shots before this was blur.. the phone automatically set to longer shutter mode.. so i need to sit on the steps.. place my hand on my leg.. an stabilize the phone..

oh.. i tot its nice on a macro shot point of view.. but it does looks a lot nicer when it's set as wallpaper in the phone... haha.. due to the smaller screen

The camera is 8MP, Schneider-Kreuznach lens. I also didn't know the power of the camera until I actually develop some pictures into 4R photographs. The details are stunning, especially at low ISO.

Good shot, I like this

Most have been drawn into DSLR since its very affordable nowadays and many out there don't even give a second look at digital P&S as the price is on par or not higher for those high end models eg LX3, G11, S90 etc etc...

Carrying a DSLR makes a person look professional, even sales rep will also try to push and sell low end entry level DSLR instead of the high end P&S models mentioned above..

In the end your are buying things that don't fit your shooting style.

Personally I think if ones can't composed (frame) a shot with a basic/limited medium eg mobile camera, even given a few thousand dollars equipment he/she still can't take a good pictures.

Anyway nice camera phone you have there and do shot more with it and soon you'll be a better photographer..

p/s : Photography is about capturing LIGHT

Thank you mattroxy, for your kind comments! I am definitely shooting more with my camera phone since my DSLR is not very portable-friendly in certain situations. I agree with you that shooting more will help you in learning about composition. I must add on that looking at good-composed pictures also helps you in understanding what a well-composed picture is all about. I am still learning and hope to be able to shoot more, post more and receive more critiques to improve myself.

Again, everything from LG Renoir without PP. Taken all in Melbourne.

overcast sky makes lighting flat and pictures less interesting. if you dun hv light conditions, you may want to look out for interesting subjects or moments.

From my Sony Ericsson C901

I adjusted the color and contrast, no major PP done.
