Amazing result from the 15mm!

Some shots from Australia, Melbourne and around... Shot on my Bessa R3A on Porta 160/400VC and a few on Fuji Superia 200 when I ran out of film..

Got my new 15mm from Chiif, wow, its a really fun lens to use! Only problem was I kept getting my fingers in the frame unknowingly!

Yups, it's now one of my favourite lenses! Too bad it's tough to shoot handheld in low light, not impossible, but tough...

Hm? What made you NOT want an RF to begin with? I think other than the fact that WYS is not WYG (which can get really irritating), an RF system is just awesome for it's compactness.

I used to lug around my DSLR when I travelled, got a fair bit of stares when I went around taking photos. This time round it seemed no one really took notice of me. Then again, I don't take many photos of people up close lah...

makes me want a 15mm too! wonderful pics

agree.... and i cant wait to use my portra...:)

If you're using porta, you'll need to work on those scans a little to get colours like this. I think the raw scan from porta looks rather bland considering it's supposed to be porta VC (vivid colouration?).

the raw scan from porta is indeed bland. how are u tweaking the pics in lightroom 2?

Nothing fancy really, the usual adjusting of WB, highlight, shadow, contrast, a occassionally vibrancy.

Also in LR2 there's the new local adjusments, I use that A LOT nowadays, the grads and brushes mean I now can almost do w/o photoshop for these kind of images.

Some of the grads I throw in a wee bit of colour occassionally...

I'm going to get LR2 and try these new local adjustments!
Used to shoot Supras exclusively till they ran out. Supra scan very well straight out of processing. I still think Porta is a poor replacement.

I'm looking at your pic of the fence ( shot both with CV&Porta and Mamiya&slide film ). Can u get the porta to look like the mamiya&slide ? I'm a bit greedy here. Trying to get the wide dynamic range of print & the vibrant colour of the slides.:)

Yeah I suppose if I were to tweak it enough it should have similar colours.

I too haven't really found a good useable all-round neg. I like the colours that come out of consumer films actually, like Kodak Gold. But the grain is very bad :(
