i enjoyed this.. seems quiet and measured..feels like a haiku..

Suffering from new toy syndrome after purchasing from the friendly forum dealer. I was desperate to test the glow of the Nikkor 50/1.4. The reason I bought a M8 in the first place. Doesn't disappoint at all.

Thanks for viewing!

Nice, nice glow. You know who to sell your Nikkor lens to :). Super clean glass!

Hehe. I would love to buy it. But this past few days I bought a M8 from Hacker and a bag full of lenses from Chiif. Need to rest and recover for a while first. Very siong.

Just received my RF last weekend.

More news toys, fingers get itchy = more pictures.

I bought a bag full of lenses from Chiif yesterday, making me sleepless all night. I woke early in the morning and headed down to Victoria street. For twenty years, I've been curious about the Old Kampong Glam Cemetery. It's one of the few truly old and untouched in Singapore. (Actually, I can't think of another.) Newly renovated old temples, newly tiled old mosques, newly refitted old shophouses. One can be forgiven to thinking Singapore was founded only 30 years ago. Here is one place that was not 'upgraded' since the early 19th century. Also said to house royalty, it's filled with history and worth exploring. I plan to delve deeper and research this place over the next few months.

A riot of unkept green. Overwhelming even for a place like Singapore. Even more unusual in town. (VC Heliar 12/5.6)

Islamic tombstones, phallic shaped in all sorts of variations. (VC 25/4 PII)

Walking into the graveyard is like discovering a lost city. (VC Heliar 12/5.6)

This is freaky. I found this behind a tree just out of view from the main road. The only 'new' things in the graveyard. The colours are blinding in a place where nothing has changed for 200 years. I wouldn't touch it for a M8. (VC Nokton 35/1.2)

Islamic style mosaic art from the walls of the Malabar Mosque just next to the graveyard. (VC Nokton 35/1.2)

BernardS, nice series! Hope you like the lens you've bought. :)

BernardS, Nice photos from your 50mm Nikkor and like the Mosque's texture.

Thanks k3n. The nikkor is a joy to use. Very nice and sometimes give you unpredictable effects.

chiif, I love the lenses. My current favourite is the 12mm. Shooting low to the ground can give you very unusual prespectives. Very intresting. Unfortunately the M3 seems to render green foilage funny. Looks a little yellow, like old vegetable. I couldn't find any 52mm IR cut filters from the Peninsular today. That should solve the problem.

My last few frames with the poor man's xpan...

Best film ever for nighttime photography. Pair it with a f1.4 or faster and you don't ever need flash or tripod! Too bad its difficult to find Neopan1600. I had to buy a box of 20 from Tokyo. Using it sparingly!

Saw them at a Fuji lab at brass basah complex ground floor yesterday, Neopan 1600 and 400....
