Leica IIIF Summitar 5cm f2. at home. at 1sec f5.6. Tmax 100. camera mounted on tripod at close to min focus distance above floor. hand triggered.

I was testing my Leica after the repair... the curtain replacement was perfect, no light leak at all.

Why last pic not of ur hassey?

Anyway, better test light leak out in the sun. In a room not as obvious. Also test using slides better, B&W leak a bit hard to tell at times...

hassy? lazy to take out leh.. hiding deep in the drybox.

ya. yested it with the sun, then fired blank, before and after lever advanced. all looked ok.

oh it is a Hasselblad XPan 35mm Rangefinder, didnt know hessey do make this type of camera, i thought they do mak MF only :embrass:..haha

Oh dear, your Leica grew holes? That's an expensive repair, $200+ eh? What happened? Old camera or user error?

bought cheap, came with some holes. repair with russian curtain was 185$ at cam.x.
german curtain will cost more.
also got free overhaul with the cuetain repair.. shutter tuning, viewfinder clean up, etc.

Was quoted $200-220 at P&G with original Leica curtains... But I guess cloth is cloth.

I miss my IIIc, small and yet capable. Going to get a set like yours in the future, but getting a russian copy in the meantime.

XPAN. I supposed this is the widest MF with this camera at 30mm.. changi sunset walk.

I was there for a bbq gathering after the RF meetup... sun was hiding behind the cloud.

ya. provia.. usually provia for color.
blue tint comes with the cloudy sunset and the film response. I hv tendency for blue tint than yellow or megenta.

u cannt get this kinnd of perspective with a 35mm format super wide angle lens, the top and bottom foreground usually too empty and warped, unless u crop. but with cropping u end up having only half frame. hasselblad design was damn smart.


forgot to mention. XPAN metering almost went out of range at that time of the day. VC meter was helpful.
