My first ever shot with a rangefinder,
With a Bessa R (vertically misaligned though blehh)
35mm, F1.7
ISO 400.

But anyway, half my other shots are blurred (keep forgetting to focus), so its a bit frustrating haha.
Diving into street photography now...

Just came back from Bali this morning, attended a friend's wedding in Ritz Carlton. A very beautiful hotel and a super beautiful, romantic wedding... Will post pic of the chapel once my colour negatives are processed. Meanwhile... some B&W which I washed in the afternoon.

This place is in Denpasar market, beside a very big drain. Seems like a temple or place of worship. It was some special day on Saturday, hence people dressed up and gave offerings to their "subject of worship"...

Bali is a very nice place... people are very nice & friendly and love to pose for photo-taking too... :)

Taken with a 12mm/f5.6 on Lucky SHD 100.

Oooo.. 12mm... Nice!

I noticed that the corners don't seem as sharp as the centre, is that because of DOF or it's the lens?
Thanks...

Very few photos posted with the 12mm... I hope I can wet your appetite further... :)

Yes, the lens is so wide that it display some distortion and blur on the edge of the lens when there is not enough light.

Another shot taken indoor. It was a very hot Saturday afternoon, stopped by a shop by the street and had a drink. Then I noticed something very interesting the lady was selling... it was like our Singapore ice-kachang, but didn't have the kachang. With lots of flies flying around... I told myself... what the hack! I'm going to get drunk and wasted tonight anyway... so ordered one bowl and tried... She was less than a meter away from my Bessa L + 12mm... and I can capture almost the entire shop.... what a lens.... :)

This makes me wanna buy a nokton 1.5! :nono:

haha btw, I just snapped that at the bus stop cause I was bored waiting for the bus! I was also poisoned by tt lens.. but bear in one a couple of things:

1. Its big, as large as a DSLR lens (ard size of a 50mm F1.8 nikkor or canon) so it kinda makes your RF bulky : / that's the main reason why I sold it away

2. If you're using a Bessa R, the Nokton will partially block your viewfinder. I partially solved this prob by removing the lens hood and attaching a simple UV filter

3. Color warmth, the Nokton images on the cool side, this will be evident on people shots but not a big deal for most. For me however, I like warm images so Nokton was not the best in this area

4. Spoilt by F1.5 :D I got poisoned by F1.5.. kept using it indiscriminately... : P so for a while I kept messing up my portrait snaps cus the DOF is super shallow lol

All in all however.. it is a great lens.. esp for the price!

still had problem, understanding ilford 3200
for usually i use Lucky SHD 100 :)

3200 with f1.2! Lethal...

M6 with 35mm Summicron ASPH. Kodak Tri-X in HC110.

IF its soft, its my problem. I can't seem to estimate the distance when shooting from the hip. The Summicron can definitely do much much better than that in sharpness.

Nokton 35mm looks tempting!
