Taken over the weekend sunday, when the sun was super super hot. Was testing with the Industar 6I with my Canon P.... was surprised of the $10 al-cheapo russian lens quality....

Another Industar shot... I enjoy taking the foreign workers hanging round little india... they are almost always so obliging... posing for a shot without any hesitation.

I must say i really like the feel of this photo as well as the previous one..nice dof ..subject really pops out of the frame

any more with the industar?

in contrast..the voightlander lenses seem to have a more clinical look. I wonder if anyone shares my view?

any more with the industar?
OK... continuing with the foreign workers who helped to build Singapore....

The sun that day was good. I was using Fuji Professional 160, which I got from Ruby at a good discount as it was expired lot.

The foreign workers only get to meet one another once a week. I believe back in their homeland, they were great pals.

Hi Chiif What did you use to scan the film? Thanks.

Nikon Coolscan IV ED. But it's more than 5 years old. I think the lens turned foggy and the original scan was pretty blurry. Have to use PS to auto-level to make it more presentable. Time to send it for servicing.

Those labs scanning will do a much better job than home scanner.

Nice, chiif :). For $10, that Industar is worth a try, $10!. Does it fit on a Leica M ? Do you know where one can buy it now here ?

Interesting shot and DOF ...

I wouldn't buy any food or drinks from him, though :)

Nice Industar, I like the DOF

This gentlemen, was a newspaper kiosk owner near my daughter kindergarten

It's screw mount, so need adapter to fit on M bodies. I got it together with a FED 5 through e-bay. It's pretty easy to get 1 copy, but to get a good copy, needs some luck. With the body, you can get for about SGD60 incl shipping from Ukraine. My first Industar that came with the FED 3 was hopeless... but the FED 3 was usable. But my second copy of FED 5 set, Industar was good, but the FED 5 had a hole on the shutter, got to glue it to cover the patch using some silicon. :bsmilie: For that kind of money, it's worth the fun... it's like a box of chocolate... you never know what you are going to get... hahahahaha...

I think in CS, there are many people who still have a copy or 2 of these russians. Can try B&S WTB.

So clubgrit, please note the M adaptor costs more then the lens itself...hahaha...:bsmilie:
I had it for my R2. Rangefinder couples perfectly.

BTW, although the industar's optics are pretty good, its construction however is suspect. it feels very flimsy, but then for that price, ..........
