i'm tickled that you think that i have a spare 10k in the hidden under my pillow for such discretionary purchases...

for now, i'll just have to shoot and crop to roughly 3:1 perspective to simulate the xpan. :cry:

yes, i was actually planning to get a MF camera to get Xpan shots. Some MF cameras have adaptor for 35mm films to give the same format size as the Xpan.

The crop should give the same perspective if u crop in the centre only.. a matter of resolution. xpan format is 24x65mm. u cropped 135 into 13x36.

4x5 or 6x6 into pano.. no problem.. with hassy:

But bear in mind, cropping = wastage. The purpose of the xpan is to have MF quality with the convenience of 135 film in a compact RF design. I guess better alternative is the mamiya 7.

My first LEICA shot. :rbounce:

Paiseh hor.. can afford screw mount only. Leica IIIf with Summitar 5cm f2.. both around 1952.. lens element is super, should be the coated version. but the body obviously got problem. curtain is too old. light leak at the bottom right and left corner. any cheap way to overcome this??
